What is a Domestic Cleaning Service?
A professional domestic cleaning of your home at a time to suit you, available on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly or One-Off basis . Our fully-insured residential cleaning service allows us to provide a bespoke cleaning service at your convenience. All cleaning products and equipment is supplied by you however should you wish us to supply the equipment then there would be an additional charge please see our price list accordingly.
Do your Cleaners do Ironing?
If you require Ironing to be done whilst you have one of our regular cleaners, our cleaners will be more than willing to oblige. All ironing is carried out by our staff at your home and using your equipment. Please note we do not supply equipment for ironing services.
If you only require Ironing we can do that too.
Do you cover my area?
We cover within the M25
Are there a minimum number of hours per visit?
Yes. We require 3 hours minimum per cleaning visit.
How do you ensure quality of your cleaners?
Our cleaners are interviewed at our office to ensure the suitability of the applicant and then they are taken out with the Manager to see what their work is like. In addition to that we require cleaners to provide us with a recent police check, public liability insurance and verifiable proof of identification, address and two references.
Can I meet the cleaner first?
Yes, it is always a good idea to meet the cleaner to discuss your priorities with her.
We will arrange a meeting with the cleaner at your house at a convenient time to yourself, which can be in the daytime, evening or weekend
Will I have the same cleaner every week?
Yes providing you are happy with your cleaner! If you are not, simply give us a call, and we will either speak to your cleaner on your behalf or find another one for you.
Do I have to stay at home when the cleaner comes to me?
No, the cleaners are all very stringently vetted and experienced so that you can leave them to clean alone in your house
Can my cleaner come when I am at work?
You can leave a set of keys with the cleaner. You don't have to be in on the day the cleaner comes. 90% of our cleaners hold keys for client's homes.
Will C & D Cleaning Services be able to provide me with a temporary cleaner if my regular cleaner is off sick or on holiday?
Yes, we will always contact you to arrange temporary cover should your regular cleaner let us know that she is unable to come to you for any reason.
What do I do if the cleaner doesn't turn up?
If this should happen, please call us and we can arrange another cleaner to come.
Are you insured?
We have have public liability insurance which covers all our cleaners.
Can you provide references from some of your customers?
Yes, we can provide references from our current customers
Who is responsible for providing the cleaning products and materials?
You are responsible for supplying cleaning materials and equipment in addition to making arrangements for access to your home. Alternatively we can supply cleaning materials but there will be an additional cost
Are there any restrictions placed on the cleaner, with regards to what they will clean?
Yes, they will not perform any deep or specialised cleaning of any antique, delicate or valuable items. Also they will not do outside window cleaning unless it's on the ground floor
What about damages?
While we will, of course, treat your home with the greatest of care, accidents can and do occasionally happen. As all our cleaners are fully insured for such occurrences, and should any damage or breakage occur whilst they are cleaning your home, we will undertake to replace or repair the item.
How much notice do I need to give if I wish to cancel my Cleaner?
All we require is 30 days notice.
We are currently looking for Self-Employed Cleaners to go on our books. We offer good rates of pay,
training and support. All posts start as part-time but will go full-time if you want it.
However before we can put you on our books we require the following:
A current Police Check
which can be obtained by going to your local police station and asking for a "Subject Access" police check. The check can take up to 6 weeks to obtain
Proof of Identification with a photograph
Driving Licence or Passport
Proof of address
Two recent utility bills i.e gas, electric or phone bill
References
Two references ideally from you last places of work. If however you have not worked before we will accept character references but not from family members.

Visa/Work Permitt
If you need a visa or work permit we will need to see the original.
